AI & Google visibilityFree mini-check · £95 Check · £295 Fix

Get named when customers ask AI for an electrician.

ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot now answer “who should I call?” with a short list of names. We find out whether you’re on it, in your town, for the jobs you want, then fix the information those tools rely on.

Why electricians get skipped

Good electricians, invisible to AI.

It’s rarely about the quality of your work. It’s about how little an AI tool can confidently say about you. These are the most common gaps.

01

Everything on one page

EICRs, EV chargers, rewires and fault-finding squeezed into one paragraph. An AI tool asked “EV charger installer in Bromley” can’t find a page that clearly says you do that, there.

02

Areas never written down

“Greater London and surrounding areas” doesn’t tell anyone you cover Croydon, Sutton and Purley. If the towns aren’t named on your site and profile, you won’t be matched to them.

03

A half-finished Google profile

Wrong primary category, no services listed, no service areas, old hours, no photos. Google’s AI features and Gemini lean heavily on this data.

04

Few or old reviews

AI answers often say “well-reviewed”. A handful of reviews from 2022 doesn’t back that up. In BrightLocal’s 2026 survey, 74% of consumers said they only care about reviews from the last three months (US sample).

05

Mixed-up details online

An old mobile number on Yell, a previous trading name on Checkatrade, a different address on Facebook. Inconsistent name, address and phone details make a business look less certain, to people and machines.

06

Blocked or unreadable

Some hosting and security settings block AI crawlers by default. Others hide key facts in images or scripts. If a tool can’t read your page, it can’t quote it.

What we check

Eight things AI tools read about your business.

Every £95 Check covers all eight, plus the real AI answers for your town. Each finding comes with a plain-English fix and who should do it: us, you, or nobody (if it isn’t worth it).

01 · Real AI answers

What the AI tools actually say

10–15 questions your customers really ask, in your main town, asked more than once in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.

  • Emergency, EICR, EV charger, consumer unit, rewire and “near me” questions
  • Whether you’re named, how often, and in what words
  • Who gets named instead, and which sources the AI cited
02 · Google Business Profile

Your most important listing

The profile behind Google Maps, the local results and much of what Google’s AI features say about you.

  • Primary and secondary categories (“Electrician” first)
  • Services, service areas, hours, description, photos
  • Website link, appointment link, and whether it all matches your site
03 · Reviews

Volume, recency and replies

Reviews are social proof for customers and a trust signal AI answers repeat (“highly rated”, “quick to respond”).

  • Count, average rating and how recent they are, compared with who gets named
  • Whether you reply, and how
  • Whether reviews mention services and towns (customers’ own words help)
04 · NAP consistency

Name, address, phone everywhere

We compare your details across your website, Google, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, Facebook and the main UK trade directories.

  • Old numbers, old trading names, old addresses
  • Duplicate or unclaimed listings
  • A clean-up list in priority order
05 · Structured data

Schema.org markup

Hidden labels that tell search engines “this is an Electrician, here are its services, areas, hours and contact details”. It must match what’s visible on the page.

  • Electrician / LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList
  • Errors and mismatches with your visible content
  • Accreditations and areas described correctly
06 · Website content

Pages that answer real questions

AI tools quote pages that state facts clearly. We look at whether yours does.

  • A clear page (or section) per main service and the towns you cover
  • Prices or price guides, call-out policy, certificates, guarantees
  • Accreditations linked to the public register, FAQs, speed and mobile use
07 · Directories & citations

Where else you’re mentioned

AI answers often cite directories and review sites, not just your website.

  • Checkatrade, TrustATrader, MyBuilder, Rated People, Yell, Bark, Facebook and others
  • Your entry on the NICEIC, NAPIT or Electrical Competent Person register
  • Which listings are worth claiming, fixing or ignoring
08 · AI crawler access

Can AI tools read your site?

We check your robots.txt, hosting and security settings so search and AI crawlers aren’t accidentally blocked, and that key facts are in readable text.

  • Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and others
  • CDN or firewall “block AI bots” settings
  • Important text not hidden in images or scripts

Visibility Fix

We do the work on your fix list, then check again.

£295one-off

Includes a re-check 30 days later · Check needed first

  • Google Business Profile tidy-up
  • Up to 5 website improvements: FAQs, service & area wording, LocalBusiness schema
  • Review-request link & QR card design
  • Listings clean-up list
  • 30-day re-check with before & after notes
Ask about the Fix

The Fix needs a Check first, so we know what to fix. Website improvements need edit access to your site (most builders, like Wix, WordPress and Squarespace, are fine), or we send you the exact changes. On a SparkyWeb Managed or Growth website, a monthly AI visibility re-check is included. See all prices.

The 30-day re-check

Proof, not promises.

AI answers move around, and changes take time to be picked up. So 30 days after the Fix we ask the same questions, in the same tools and town, and show you the difference side by side.

  • Same questions, same tools, same location as the original Check
  • Before-and-after scorecard and example answers
  • What changed on your profile, reviews and listings in the meantime
  • Honest notes on what didn’t move, and why

Why 30 days?

Google Business Profile edits can show up within days. Website changes depend on when search engines next crawl your pages, which Google says can take anywhere from several days to several months. Thirty days is long enough for most profile and on-page changes to be picked up, and short enough to course-correct.

We will never claim a change caused something we can’t show. If nothing moved, we’ll say so.

  • Add accreditations or badges you don’t hold
  • Sell “secret AI hacks”, spammy links or keyword-stuffed pages

AI visibility FAQ

Honest answers.

More questions on our main FAQ, or email [email protected].

Which AI tools do you check?

ChatGPT (including its search feature), Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. The free mini-check covers ChatGPT and Google; the £95 Check covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, and we note Gemini and AI Mode where relevant.

Why ask each question more than once?

Because AI answers aren’t fixed. The same question can produce a different shortlist an hour later, on a different device or in a different town. Asking more than once tells us whether you’re named reliably, occasionally or never, which is far more useful than a single screenshot.

Do I need an llms.txt file or special “AI schema”?

No. Google says you don’t need new machine-readable files, AI text files or special structured data to appear in its AI features. An llms.txt file is a harmless, optional proposal (we have one), but it won’t fix a thin website or an incomplete Google Business Profile. We focus on the things that demonstrably feed AI answers.

How long before I see a difference?

Some changes, like Google Business Profile edits, can be picked up within days. Website changes depend on how quickly search engines re-crawl your pages, which can take from days to a few months. That’s why the Fix includes a re-check 30 days later, and monthly plans include a re-check every month.

Can you remove a competitor from AI answers?

No, and we wouldn’t try. We can’t control what AI tools say. We can make sure the information about your business is the clearest, most complete and most consistent in your area, which is what gives you the best chance of being named.

Will you post fake reviews or buy listings?

Never. Fake reviews are banned under the UK’s Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and break Google’s policies. We help you ask real customers for reviews, the right way.
