FAQ

No — quotes are free and without obligation. Many jobs can be priced from a quick phone call or a few photos; for larger work such as rewires we'll arrange a free survey visit.
In England, private landlords must have the electrical installation inspected and tested at least every five years (or sooner if the report says so) and give a copy of the report to tenants. For owner-occupied homes, an EICR is generally recommended every ten years or when you buy a property.
If you have an old fuse box with rewireable fuses, no RCD protection or a plastic consumer unit, an upgrade is usually recommended. A modern consumer unit with RCBOs and surge protection offers much better protection against electric shock and fire.
Part P of the Building Regulations covers electrical safety in homes in England and Wales. As a registered competent person, we can self-certify notifiable work, so you receive a Building Regulations compliance certificate without needing a separate Building Control inspection.
A typical three-bedroom house takes around 5–10 working days depending on size, access and finishes. We'll give you a clear schedule up front and can usually keep some power on each evening.
Yes. Our 24/7 emergency line is 07700 900999. If you smell burning or see sparking, switch off at the main switch if it's safe to do so, then call us.
We carry full public liability insurance and all our work comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee, alongside the relevant electrical certificates (example terms — replace with your own).
